About Karen

Philosophy

Karen has been fortunate to work in special education for her entire career, and has taught at every level of public education. She has worked in private settings, inclusion settings and substantially separate settings. Through her experience, she has developed a very strong understanding of how the public school system works. She also strongly believes that parents and school districts need to have a productive working relationship in order for students to succeed. Often, these relationships will last for many years, so collaboration and communication are essential. Her goal is to build and/or maintain this relationship while also ensuring that the needs of your child and your child's educational progress remain the primary focus of the collaborative efforts.
